It connects people. Not in a vague, poster-on-the-wall kind of way. But in a proper human way. I've watched it rippling into rooms. You can almost see the little sparks start to crackle.
That's because creativity is an active thing. It's a shapeshifter. And (luckily for us) it's highly renewable. Just ask the mighty poet Maya Angelou.
But somewhere along the way, we stopped treating creativity as something human (and essential) and replaced it with "process".
And we built our communications around all of these sterile, impersonal rules. Then we handed those same rules to machines to produce bucketloads of templated texts.
And your employees read them the way they read terms and conditions.
that's the gap.

For more than 15 years, I worked inside places like Google and Meta. I left my fingerprints on their culture and helped leaders say tricky things that had to land in thousands of inboxes at once. (And when it worked, it wasn't because the message was perfect. It was because it connected with people).
In parallel, I’ve written award-winning anthems, toured my plays, founded a festival, and stood in front of rooms that let you know, pretty quickly, if you’ve lost them.
Two lives, some people say. Same life, I say. It's the same creative lens.
In fairness, both worlds taught me the exact same thing about communication. The idea was never really the problem. It was how it was said, and how it made people feel.
That's where I come in. A storyteller with a human eye. A creative one.
And then we connect the dots together.
