A storytelling session at the Grand Prix sales event in LinkedIn’s EMEA Headquarters in Dublin, Ireland.
I just got back from a great morning at LinkedIn EMEA HQ, where I kicked off their Grand Prix Sales Event with a keynote about the art of storytelling.
As it happens, I was a last minute replacement, so I had to quickly condense my two day workshop on storytelling into a turbo version that covered the highlights in 45 minutes! Nevertheless, we still managed to cover story structure, wrapping data in stories, as well as some top tips from the likes of everyone from Stephen King to the Harvard Business Review.
It was great to see it hit the mark with so many of the folks in the room (including some familiar faces from my time at Google and Meta), which was reflected in the satisfaction rating (8.3 / 10) and the terrific feedback I received afterwards.
Kalle, professional storyteller and comms professional, kicked us off by spilling some of the secret sauce of storytelling and how to apply it in sales. A key takeaway was to always wrap numbers in a story
