It’s the time of year when many of us say: Out with the old, in with the new me.
New Year. New ideas needed.
I’ve never really been great at resolutions. Far too often I start strong and then fade fast.
So this year I’m setting some New Year’s Revolutions for myself.
A set of creative lenses to help me see new things and learn new skills.
I will…
– [Experiment like Bob Dylan] –
Take risks. Even if people don’t feel the electricity at first.
– [Write like Raymond Carver] –
Strip it back to what matters most. No fluff.
– [Explore like Werner Herzog] –
Reinvent. Evolve. Don’t feel the need to explain myself.

Most modern blog posts seem to end with a question (gotta get that engagement metric up!), but in keeping with my new revolutions above, I’m not going to do that.
Instead I’m going to give an answer to a question you didn’t ask.
Yes, I do mean revolution, in the broadest, most pacifist way. But I don’t mean spinning my wheels. More of a creative evolution really. That revolves around you.
